Teljes Windows partíció lementése Linux alól

Ha le kell mentenünk egy teljes Windows partíciót akár a rajta lévő operációs rendszerrel együtt, az alábbi helytakarékos megoldást javaslom.

Az ntfsclone programra lesz szükségünk, ami Debian alatt az ntfsprogs csomag része.

A mentés a következőképpen történhet:
ntfsclone --save-image -o - /dev/sdaX | gzip -c > mentes.img.gz

A /dev/sdaX helyett értelem szerűen a mentendő partíció elérési útját kell megadni. A kapott fájl GZIP tömörítésű lesz.

A visszaállítás a következő paranccsal történhet:
gunzip -c mentes.img.gz | ntfsclone --restore-image --overwrite /dev/sdaX -
