Firefox: böngészés folytatása az utolsó fül bezárása után

A kezdőlap furcsa kezelése mellett az utolsó fül bezárása utáni automata kilépéssel sem tudtam megbarátkozni Firefoxban. Itt a módszer, hogy a lapok bezárása után egy üres lap mindig maradjon.

A címsorba írjuk be az about:config címet, majd keressük meg a browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab beállítást. Ha ezt false-ra állítjuk, az utolsó böngészőlap bezárása után nem lépünk ki automatikusan a Firefoxból, hanem a keződoldalunk nyílik meg.
Az about:config címen található beállításokat dupla kattintással tudjuk módosítani.

A 41-es verzió van a gépemen, és hiába állítom false-re ezt a beállítást, mindig visszaáll eredeti (true) állapotába. Mit lehetne tennem?
Egyáltalán, miért találták ki ezt így,mi értelme van?
